Technology

24th of March

On tuesday the year 7 and 8s went to technology it was lots of fun I am in the same class with Prudence, Hannah and Ian were in science and we were doing robotics, we had to build a robot with lego and then program it. After science we went to mandarin we were learning how to say drinks and food in mandarin it was super fun, for the last part of the day we went back and had a robot fight for people who wanted to show of their robot, my team who was Hannah, Prudence and I didn’t do the robot fight because it was our first time building and programing so it wasn't strong enough to fight to win, at 12 o'clock we hopped onto the bus and arrived back to our school it was an awesome day.

Friday the 3rd of march.
This week we did this exciting activity and it's when you have four tires and one plank of wood and you have 8 people in your team and you have to make it to the cone what was from one side of the back lawn to the other side and you have to get your whole team there without touching the ground and the first one there to the cone wins, On tuesday I was doing steps so i didn't join in until on wednesday so on tuesday I was the photographer and then on wednesday since no one made it till the end to the cone on tuesday I joined a team  on wednesday our team had a talk about what our team was going to do and once we talked it was much easier not just us and every other team knew what the wanted to do, our team made it to the end first but it's not about winning it's about the team work you put into it and the fun of it.

SAILING 2017

Wednesday 15th of February.

On wednesday most of our class went sailing, when we arrived there the instructors taught us how to rig the boat I rigged in a group with Belle, Base and I after that they taught us how to sit where and how on the side of the boat on the flat hard ground before we went into the water, before we went for a quick swim before sailing we had lunch. After lunch and swimming we were able to sail the boat, each person had 2 to 3 turns on the boat sailing with

the instructors helping us and telling us what to do so when we're able to sail the boats all by our self we knew what to do. After sailing we came back from school from having an eventful and awesome day, if I was able to go sailing again I definitely would, It's super fun!

                                        Tuesday 7th of February
  After coming back from Lincoln primary we                                came back for a icy swimming lesson.
 It was quite fun swimming with all my friends and                       I at the end, because we could get out the                                     pool!  When we came inside from swimming we                     were shaking. but we lived because the heat                                pump was on so we warmed up easily!!

                                              silent reading, it was very silent and                           we were reading, i was reading this                             really good book divergent it is                                           very exciting .

Kawa Care

For the past few weeks Rimu class have has the task of making a video/animation/poster relating to the rules of the Kawa Care program we have. Our group decided to make a video about how you should be on the right website at the right time. We worked really hard on this video, and we hope you enjoy!
